Our production of Ben Elton’s award-winning play at the Braithwaite, Croydon Clocktower in February 2002 “Popcorn” was a highly entertaining satire about Hollywood’s fascination with sex and violence in films, which received both critical and audience acclaim and was a complete sell-out!

Popcorn took the West End by storm with a highly successful run at the Apollo Theatre. The play was first performed at the Nottingham Playhouse in September 1996 and subsequently presented at the Apollo in April1997. It was the winner of the 1998 Laurence Olivier Award for the Best New Comedy and the Barclays Theatre Award for Best New Play.
